RheaCode
A local-first AI coding workspace. Project context, tool execution, approvals, and verification live in one desktop app.

Context
AI coding assistants are increasingly common, but most work as a chat window: developers paste code back and forth and struggle to trace what was actually changed, run, and verified.
Problem
Developers need AI help that actually does the work (reading files, running commands, managing Git) without losing visibility and control over their own code.
Solution
Nuvira designed and built RheaCode as a native desktop app that brings project context, tool output, approvals, and verification into one workspace. Work starts by mapping the codebase and drafting a plan, then is executed and verified with a clear record of what changed.
Project code never leaves the user’s machine unless it is explicitly sent to the AI model provider the user has chosen.
Key capabilities
- Local-first runtime, so code and project context stay on the developer's machine
- Git-aware workflows
- Configurable model layer (Anthropic, OpenAI-compatible, Codex, regional endpoints)
- Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration for local and remote tools
- Planning grounded in a map of the codebase before any change is made
